Cobblestone Quilters Guild

The purpose of The Guild shall be to foster the art of quilting, to encourage a high standard of design and technique in all of its various forms, and to stimulate an interest in these goals within the community.

Cobblestone Quilters Guild is located in beautiful, historic, Charleston, South Carolina. Our membership base covers the tri-county area of Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties.

Meetings

We meet the second Thursday of each month, 7:00 p.m. at:

Yeamans’s Park Presbyterian Church located at 5931 Murray Drive, Hanahan, SC.

Meetings consist of a brief business session, a program, Show and Tell, and other fun activities.

Unless otherwise specified, all workshops and meetings are held at Yeaman's Park Presbyterian, 5931 Murray Ave, Hanahan, SC 29410. Meeting Program begins at 7p, but the doors are open at 6:30.

Quilters Day Out - Iron Quilter Competition!

And the winners are the team of:  Lucy Kennedy, Linda Shoemaker, Ann Williams, and Nancy Micheal.  Each team member receives a gift certificate from Angel Oak Stitchery, the new online quilt shop owned and operated by Vicki and Roger Eslick!  We would like all members of the winning team to be at the July meeting for a picture opportunity as the results were announced at the end of the June meeting and some members had left beforehand.

Community OutreachFlorence Crittenton

We are pleased to announce that there are two community programs which the Cobblestone Quilters Guild will assist in 2016. They are the Florence Crittenton Home and the County Animal Shelters in our three county area. Block of the Month 2016

The Block of the Month for 2016 will be comprised of a different, seasonal 12”-finished machine appliqué block for each month. Each kit will contain a 12 ½” background square and the precut shapes to make the block. See the Block of the Month page for more info.

The guild owns many quality quilting books, dvd's, and cd's. Please access the Library page to veiw the listing of books available to guild members. Listings are provided sorted by Author OR Category. Please contact us if you would like to check out a book!

NewSplinter Group!

Sandwich Makers Quilters: Longarm/Domestic: Hobbyists-Professional quilters: We meet the 2nd Saturday, every other month, at 10:30 am, rotating among our members’ homes throughout the year. There will be no meeting in November and December, resume in January 2017. For information, contact Enid Edgeworth directly, or through the contact page.

Consider an Ad in the Cobblestone Newsletter.  As an added incentive to advertise in the newsletter, 1/4 and 1/2 page ads purchased by the year will appear on the website with links if available.

Newsletters

  • After the February meeting, those not current with their dues will no longer receive the newsletter until they become current.
  • Newsletter: There are no paper copies of the newsletter mailed via the postal service. Newsletters will be sent via the Email service, "Mail Chimp". If you don't receive your newsletter, PLEASE check you spam box.
